FIRST FRIDAYS DEVOTION

Called for by our Lord to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque

TO COMPLETE, ONE MUST:

On nine consecutive first Fridays of the month…

Have the intention, at least implicitly, of making reparation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus for all the sinfulness and ingratitude of men.
Receive Holy Communion (this assumes that the person is in a state of grace, having made a Sacramental Confession for any mortal sins prior to receiving Communion)

FIRST FRIDAY DEVOTIONS AT MATER DEI INCLUDE:

+ Holy Hour with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Acts of Consecration and Reparation, Litany of the Sacred Heart, Silent Adoration and Solemn Benediction ~ 4:00 PM

+ Confessions ~ 5:00 PM

+ Sacred Heart Votive Mass (as the Ordo permits) ~ 6:00 PM

FIRST SATURDAYS DEVOTION

Called for by our Lady at Fatima

TO COMPLETE, ONE MUST:

On five consecutive first Saturdays of the month…

Have the intention, at least implicitly, of consoling the Immaculate Heart of Mary in a spirit of reparation.
Receive Holy Communion (this assumes that the person is in a state of grace, having made a Sacramental Confession for any mortal sins prior to receiving Communion).
Recite five decades of the Holy Rosary.
Meditate for 15 minutes on the Mysteries of the Holy Rosary with the goal of keeping Our Lady company (for example, while in church or before an image or statue of Our Lady).

FIRST SATURDAY DEVOTIONS AT MATER DEI INCLUDE:

+ Confessions ~ 10:00 AM

+ Immaculate Heart Votive Mass (as the Ordo permits) ~ 11:00 AM
