2025 Epiphany House Blessing
The Church has an old custom of blessing homes on the Feast of the Epiphany (and extended to Candlemas, 2nd Feb). God’s blessing is invoked on the home and those who live in or visit it. It is an invitation for Christ, our Lord, to be a daily Guest in our home, our comings and goings, our conversations, our work and play, our joys and sorrows. Water and chalk blessed on the Feast of the Epiphany are used. Above the home’s entryway, 20 + C + M + B + 25 is inscribed with the blessed chalk. The letters C, M, B, have two meanings. They are the initials of the traditional names of The Three Magi: Caspar, Melchior, and Balthazar. They also abbreviate the Latin words “Christus Mansionem Benedicat”, “Christ Bless this Mansion/House/Home”. The “+” signs represent the Cross of Christ and 2025 is the year.
If you would like the Epiphany Blessing for your home, please contact to arrange for a suitable date & time.

“Acquire the habit of speaking to God as if you were alone with Him, familiarly and with confidence and love, as to the dearest and most loving of friends. Speak to Him often of your business, your plans, your troubles, your fears–of everything that concerns you. Converse with Him confidently and frankly; for God is not wont to speak to a soul that does not speak to Him.” ~SAL
